Hi Doni,

basicly it makes no problems. For moving to a other server:
Backup the database, and create the same dbuser on the new SQL server, restore the database, make sure in your database security the dbo user have the same username as on your old database, and if you have a 2nd user they have also the same login as on the  old database.

Copy all files from the Website folder to the new root folder of the new server.
Delete all codebehind files if you created a WAP module from it.
Change the 2 SQL strings in the web.config file to the new SQL server if it is needed.

Make sure you have set the correct physical permissions to all files and subfolders.
Change the PortalAlias in the database to the used domain name.

Open the Webite.

 what are the correct permissions?

What do you mean with correct permissions?  Permissions for the files on the DNN folder or for the Database?  Allways for all files and folders in the DNN folder the IIS Annonymous user need read permission, THe Application pool user needs full access and you must have execute access to all scripts and executable files on the IIS.

Permissions for the database could be very different about there are many szenarious how you can use on the dnn installation.  Basicly you have to make sure that you have the same settings and users with the needed database roles on the new SQL server if you want to move the database to a other SQL server.
