What version of DotNetNuke are you running?

Did you recently upgrade? If so from what version?

Are you able to successfully open all of the other pages under Host and Admin top level menu items?

Were you able to check the other question I posted:

Are you able to successfully open all of the other pages under Host and Admin top level menu items (and in particular the Host-->Extensions page)?

Do you have access to the database using MS SQL Server Management Studio or other similar tool? If so, please run the following query after modifying it to use your site's databaseOwner value if not "dbo." and objectQualifier if not blank:

SELECT PortalID, TabPath
FROM dbo.Tabs
WHERE TabPath Like '//Host/%'
GO

The top level Host page and all child host pages must have a null PortalID.

I checked all the pages under admin and host
every page is working fine except the module definitions

I ran the query and i have null value for the portal id for every tabpath
Still nothing is showing up in the module definitions
is it something related to the previous modules that i installed
do they change any settings?
in the worst case, should i go ahead and have an update installed (this is the last option because i dont know how the existing modules might behave after the update)

Thank you
