Hi,

we have a DNN website, and I want to change the host to our new hosting.

I have to say that, I don't have Host account and don't have direct access to the first db (in our current hosting)

I've done this thing:

- set the permission

- restore db

- change web config

I change PortalAlias table, but I'm not sure about it

(PortalID:0, httpAlias: DomainName, createdByUserID:-1,CreatedonDate:2011-08-05 10:01:08.890

,LastModifiedByUserID:-1,lastmodifiedondtae:2011-08-05 10:01:08.890)

when I call the first page, It goes direcly to the Install/Install.aspx page and I gt this error:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://www........net/install/install...
Line Number 1, Column 1:

thanks in advance

Bahar

how does the domain name look like in portal alias table, it looks like there is an issue (or there are permission problems).

wooow,  I fixed it
It's because some of my files were "Read only"

Now my site is come up, but with an error:

I use another domain alternatevly for changing hosting, and I got this message in the top banner:
"Current license is not usable for this domain. Please contact TheDNN group at www.thednn.com"

do you think that after I point the main domain to the site, it will be gone?
Or I need to do something more?

Thanks
