I want to use JWPlayer to feed video content on my DNN sites.  My DNN version is currently '07.00.06 (121)' My current editor is 'DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider'

I have JWplayer working; it plays the mp4 video when I paste the code into the Settings|Module Settings|Advanced Settings|Header area.

I do notice a show stopping glitch however; the full screen button does not function as you would expect.

I think what I need to do if possible is add part of the script code into the body of the HTML module; when you save the change it strips out the code.  I think this is a security feature in the HTML module.

So I am wondering what I need to do to make this work.

My thoughts...

Is there an alternate HTML type module that allows Javascript for those specific pages that require it?

If not; does anyone know of a way to allow javascript.  Hopefully the javascript could be implemented on a page by page basis not across the board on all pages.

I guess as a last resort a site wide allowance might be ok too?  We only allow our developers to log in to our site... not the general public.

If that is the only option is there a good write up somewhere on how to accomplish this?

Regards,

Chris

In the module settings you can add script to the Head Text-box of the Text/HTML module (Advanced Settings > Header:).  If you also want text in the Text/HTML module go for it in the WYSIWYG edit view, if you just want the script add it in Advanced Settings > Header and then deselect the Show Container check-box in Page Settings and then just put nothing in the WYSIWYG...

Robert,
Thanks for trying to help...
So there is not way to add javascript to a DNN webpage except in the Header and Footer areas of the Text/HTML module?

Regards,

Chris

Accepted Answer

You can either do it as Robert suggested, you can insert it in your skin like this:

<dnn:DnnJsInclude runat="server" FilePath="~/Resources/Shared/Scripts/jquery/jquery.hoverIntent.min.js" />

Or you can do it through code in your own module.  If you are interested, DigFlash will play mp4's, it's free and takes care of all the dirty work for you.  However it doesn't use jwplayer.

Thanks
Mike

Hi
Goto Page settings>Advance settings.
There is a Page Header Tags.
You can add the js tag there.
