The difference in creating portals between Admin and Host, is that you cannot create a portal with Admin. Only SuperUsers have acces to he host menu, and thus create a portal.

As for the error you get, a good start is to enable the logs: go in Admin Menu > Log Viewer. Things are reported there, so maybe you'll find what you're looking for there.

Thanks for info, Alexandre.

I viewed the Exceptions in the Log Viewer, it does not say much, it is similar to catching Exception and displaying it using ToString() or Message or StackTrace properties/method of Exception object.

I have another question, do you know how to load data to be displayed in the modules dynamically (at runtime) directly from database? Or do you know modules that are downloadable (free)?

Thanks again.

About the error you get when loading a Gallery module on your page, I'd recommend to visit the Gallery Project Forums.

As to load data from the database on your pages, I think what you want to do is to create a module. There's some documentation about developping a module in the documentation files, which you can get from the download page.

And I'm sorry, I don't know of any free DotNetNuke module, but you could try google ;o)

Good Luck!
