1. XML module is an installable extension, you might use to display the content of a given xml file or stream using a specified xsl transformation.
Unless you are using this module for this purpose, you don't need it and should keep it uninstalled (it is always best practice to remove extensions, you don't need anymore, for security and performance benefits)
3. This sounds like an issue either with clientside code or database access. if you turn on display script errors in your browser settings, do you get errors displayed?

3. This was gravity and future skin problem. Switching to another skin fixes this. BTW, the 'funeral' look for ControlBar is in ControlBar.css (unless your skin overrides it)

Now I'm having a problem with URLMaster (licensed copy version 2.8.3). On this page http://www.ifinity.com.au/2013/07/22/... it says I can click Convert to DNN Advanced Urls’ button and This will load the Conversion Dialog
Clicking on the button only removes the scroll bars from the browser window but does not open a dialog.
I tried this with 3 different skins and 3 different browsers but the Convert does not run and does not open a Conversion Dialog.
Since URLMaster is no longer maintained, I thought it was best to change.
I am surprised the URLMaster is even turned on as I had turned it off before the upgrade, hoping the core url thingie would take over.

Bruce Chapman - is there a sql script or something we can run instead? Or is there a recommended skin and browser?
I am on DNN 7.3.2 but going to 8.x

you should be able to replace UrlMaster by AdvancedURLs, I would upgrade to 7.4.2 first.
