I had DNN 3.2.2 intall in a XP machine. I have SQL 2000 intalled on the same machine.

yesturday, I got a new machine with windows 2000. I have upgrade windows to have active directory and join the xp machine to the domain.
I move the root folder of dnn to windows 2000 and give full controll to ASPNET account. I would like to keep sql on the XP machine.

I have config the web.config the sitesqlserver key to point to the old machine and left the same user and password.

I have also set an odbc connection to the database, and when i test the connection it work fine.

however, when it try to load the page i get the following error:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The .Net Data SQL Provider (System.Data.SqlClient) requires Microsoft Data Access Components(MDAC) version 2.6 or later.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Joao

Typically it's not necessary to set up the datasource in ODBC; perhaps you're not trying to connect correctly.  Have you installed the client tools on the Windows2000 machine, and if so, can you connect to the database that way?

I'm not 100% sure how to use the client configuration. I was able to connect to the SQL server from the win2000 machine throught the Query Analyzer. Now I am getting this error:

Login failed for user 'JPAMSYSTEMS\IWAM_JPAMSVR'.

I have looked on the IIS setup, directory permission, and on the SQL server to see if i found this account. But I could not find it. Any Ideas how to fix this.

Thanks
Joao

This could stem from several places but most likely it is the identity under which your Application Pool is set to run in IIS.  Go there, and change it to Network Service, at least for the time being.  Just for good measure, restart the computer and then test it.  Then once you've confirmed that's the problem, you could leave it running as Network Service or do more work to set up a specific account.  Let me know if you need specific instructions on how to check that App Pool identity.
