I can replicate this on my reformated laptop over and over. It is definiteley related to a timeout issue.

One way to get around this issue without changing any values in machine.config is before running your install for the first time, go to the Install\Module folder and remove all the modules except the HTML and Links modules.

Now navigate to the site (initiate the install). It should install in well under the alloted time now.

I've been able to replicate this many times. I basically just copy the Install\Module folder to my desktop, then after the install process, upload any modules I need from that copied folder, one at a time.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, but this does not happen during install. This is after a new install has been completed and the portal is running. Either I'm not writing clearly, or people aren't reading clearly. lol!

Hi Jason

I have been playing with the site all afternoon and I have not had the problem repeat itself. I am now convinced that my issue is a response timeout during install.

I can't advise on the hosting account issue - I have only tried it on localhost and if I do deploy it, I have a dedicated server.

Looking at the event log messages you're getting, it still looks like some sought of timeout issue to me.

Hope you sort it out

All the Best

Tony
