yes, but you need direct addess to your database:

  • create a new user, remember the password ;)
  • enter the database, open table aspnet_membership
  • copy password and password salt from new user's record to host record
  • login as host with new user's password
  • delete new user

it worked! thank you very much for your reply.

I first had to change UserRegistration to 2 in portal settings as I had the new user registration disabled. After that i followed the instructions and it worked just fine.

thanks again.
