This is a problem with the way security is setup in some environments that does not allow the configured user to delete those files from the EventQueue while the application is starting.

It will happen every time your application starts unless those files are deleted from the queue.

You can safely delete them manually, and whenever you install a new module you'll have to delete any new ones.

I'm looking into a way to possibly delete these file automatically in a different event to correct this in a future version.

I am also getting this error. Is this a site permissions issue or a DNN issue? The provider is telling me it is a DNN issue...

Access to the path 'C:\hshome\txxxxx\xxxxxxxx.org\Portals\_default\EventQueue\Application_Start--1dde7274-6b8c-4156-ab22-de4a95ab4aa0.config' is denied.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\hshome\xxxx\xxxxxxxx.org\Portals\_default\EventQueue\Application_Start--1dde7274-6b8c-4156-ab22-de4a95ab4aa0.config' is denied.

ASP.NET is not authorized to access the requested resource. Consider granting access rights to the resource to the ASP.NET request identity. ASP.NET has a base process identity (typically {MACHINE}\ASPNET on IIS 5 or Network Service on IIS 6) that is used if the application is not impersonating. If the application is impersonating via <identity impersonate="true"/>, the identity will be the anonymous user (typically IUSR_MACHINENAME) or the authenticated request user.

To grant ASP.NET access to a file, right-click the file in Explorer, choose "Properties" and select the Security tab. Click "Add" to add the appropriate user or group. Highlight the ASP.NET account, and check the boxes for the desired access.

It's a permissions issue, which only shows up when the ISP has configured their applications with a different app pool identity that does not have the permissions needed to delete those files on application startup.

I am looking into finding a good way to handle this special case inside DNN.
