I moved a DNN site from one server to another. I think I finally have everything configured correctly (no more errors) except for one thing. When I navigate to the site via IP (no domain name yet), I am redirect to the old url - the url that was used on the old server! Is this old url stored somewhere in a config file or in the database?

I've searched the web directory as well as the database and cannot figure out why I am being redirected to the old server.

Try this, login as Admin, from the admin dropdown, select "Site Settings" and at the bottom of "Site Settings" you will see "Portal Aliases".  If the IP or domain name is not correct, this can cause your problem.  Add your current IP address as an "aliases" and then try again.

good luck,

Eric

That's a good answer by Eric, except that you need to login as host to  add a portal alias.

Ok, thanks guys I'll try that when I get back to work on Monday. The only thing is, I don't ever see the login screen since I'm always redirected to the old site. I'll proably have to find that table and row in the databse and run an update or insert query. Thanks a lot! I'll let you know how it goes...

Ok, yep, that worked, I can see my DNN site. Another problem though. Every page except Login/Logout/ and my profile management page give me this:

Module Load Warning
One or more of the modules on this page did not load. This may be temporary. Please refresh the page (click F5 in most browsers). If the problem persists, please let the Site Administrator know.

I think it must be some other setting in the database that I'm missing. I changed a couple of rows in the ModuleSettings table to update their paths to the correct directory, but I'm not seeing any other location to update. Does anyone know of specific tables that might need to be updated as far as directory paths when moving a DNN site from one server to another (with  different directory paths).

TIA
