does i built a new parent site or can i built a child site

the child site is http://www.hmvc.fr/bb or http://bb.hmvc.fr

On item #1... check your PortalAlias and tell what is in there... if its the ip, then add your url to the PortalAlias list. Once you verify that you can access your portal via the url directly, you can remove the IP PortalAlias from the list.

On item #2... build a child site like this: http://www.hmvc.fr/bb - for you to have http://bb.hmvc.fr you will need to play with your servers DNS settings and point to the child url

On item #3... You do not need to create a new database... the new portal will use the same database.

Hope this helps, and remember to not try this on production servers. Always test first, if you have no such option then make sure you have backups.

Cheers.

are you shure that we can delete the IP Portal from the list, it is not a alias, when i create the site, there is nothing on alias

can i have a IP public nated on the IP point to the child url ( is it possible to have a IP for a the child portal)

of course this helps and thanks for the speed reponse
