Thanks, I did start in that direction before I posted and I could do this myself, I just wanted to save time.  Adding the roles I can handle, it's just one table and I have scripts that created these just fine.

The script and some sample SQL to export users into an XML string are in that blog post from my earlier reply.

That is a link, even though these forums messed up the formatting it still goes to my blog post.

Hey John,  I checked out your blog.  You've made a lot of people happy...  but I'm not sure I'm using this the right way.  I've tried adding this as a new module with the source code.

After making a folder for ImportUsers in my DesktopModules folder I go to my test site to define a new module but for some reason I can't this new folder or the aspx in the dropdown list?

This is what I'm suppose to do with this user control right?  I've made a couple modules before and never run into this...

So... I wasn't using it the right way.  I just ran it as it's own web page instead of adding as a defined module.  And since it's not an ascx it makes perfect since why I can't see it in the drop down.  :)

Right, it's just a quick and dirty web page to do a one time import.  Sorry I didn't see your post earlier.
