Hi, will this change what shows up in the address bar, when the menu link is used to go back to the homepage?

Good question, and no it won't, so I didn't give very good advice for the discussion at hand.  Sorry about that.

What you really need is a 301 redirect (permanently moved) so that GoogleBot will learn to leave it alone.

FriendlyUrls in DNN do not give you that ability.

Hmm, ok. Is a 301 redirect (permanently moved) possible in DNN?

No, you would have to write some code to do a 301 redirect.

Hey John,
Awwwyeah! I figured out a work-around. By changing the names of the pages to words that reflect the content, the page names in the menu bar, and the url path, are also changed. I changed "Home" to "Joke Man Home", and "Forum" to "Forum and Jokes", and.... Sha-Zam! The DNN ads were replaced by fantasticly attractive ads INSTANTLY! Check it out http://www.bringjackieback.com
Now, I have to put some rules up for the forum, get my security straight, and I can start promoting. Thanks for helping me understand what was going on here. It enabled me to figure something out!
