I ran a SQL query to update the PortalAlias table with the new value.  Restarted IIS (this was key...I believe IIS caches the DB info) and it works.  Thank you.  It took me some time to get the value just right, but it does work.

Success!

The only issue that occured was an error in the first go at the install:

Line 4: <sectionGroup name="dotnetnuke">
Line 5: <!-- the requirePermission attribute will cause a syntax warning - please ignore - it is required for Medium Trust support -->
Line 6: <section name="data" requirePermission="false" type="DotNetNuke.Framework.Providers.ProviderConfigurationHandler, DotNetNuke"/>

This error was resolved by changing the virtual directories ASP provider from v1 to v2.
