We have added a several new DBs in our SQL Svr 2005 (Trackit DB, WSS2.0, BizTalk) lately and today I needed to add a new subdirectory to our DNN3.2.2 installation. When I get into File Manager - only the root directory's files are displayed and 0 subdirectories are listed in the left panel? I browsed the SQL SVR DB and the Folders, Folder Permissions and Files tables all seem to have what I remember. When I look at the "File Locations" from- say a link maintenance - the folders all show up in the Dropdown. When I try to add a new folder thru the File Manager I get a general exception:

"A Critical error has occurred. Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using <pages enableEventValidation="true?/> in configuration or...Use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method..."

and our DNN log has a new Page Load Exception

Our SQL Server is on a seperate server from our Portal Server and other than this I haven't found any other anomalies in DNN. Anybody have insight to where I should be looking.. Thanks in advance! Mike S.

Sebastian - yes I tried the Sync function several times with no change (except an occasional "done with errors on the page")

I also found out this morning that all of our forums are "empty" too. The Forum Groups and Topics are displayed and the thread counts are displayed but selecting a topic with a Thread count > 0  returns nothing but an empty list. I have been hunting for event logs, portal logs, anything that will give me a hint and I certainly appreciate your input!

are you sure, you are looking at the correct database?

did you check for intruders, are there other host logins listed in the event log?

I am 99.99% certain that I am looking in the right DB (I named it INTRANET when I installed DNN in 2005) and all of the Host "superuser" logins I remember (very sporadic - 2 yesterday and 3/26/07 before that). Was there another avenue that I should explore to check for intruders?

It seems that the DB access works for most fuctions as the portal pages are displaying correctly, Users are able to Logon and use the portal with the exception of my use of File Manager (and the ability to assign roles to Directories) and  the "empty" forums. Pages are fully populated and functional including DropDowns, Documents, Role Security on modules and my custom aspx apps all work fine (they hit the iSeries for data tho).  I think something changed in IIS or Sql Server with the installation of Trackit (has both IIS and SQLSvr) or BizTalk(SQLSvr - it has IIS hosted elsewhere) that is impacting the ability of DNN to complete these functions (both were installed w/ last 3 weeks). BTW: Thanks for spending your time w/me on this.. I really appreciate it.
