If you use a file monitor, you may be able to track down what is actually happening:

Those errors are looking like permissions problems.

You may also need to run CasPol to get full trust for your anon web user.

John Mitchell wrote

Make sure that only one server is assigned the task of purging the cache, otherwise they will all try to delete the same file(s).  Turn the task off on all servers but one.

Are you sure about that John?  The documentation instructs the specification of a single server on these tasks

  • DotNetNuke.Services.Scheduling.PurgeScheduleHistory,DOTNETNUKE
  • DotNetNuke.Services.Log.EventLog.SendLogNotifications,DoTNETNUKE
  • DotNetNuke.Services.Search.SearchEngineScheduler,DOTNETNUKE
  • DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.InstallResources,DOTNETNUKE
  • DotNetNuke.Services.FileSystem.SynchronizeFileSystem,DOTNETNUKE

In regards tot he purge cache task, the documentation has this to say....

A scheduled task needs to be enabled. Log in as a SuperUser, go to the Host menu and select “Schedule”. Edit the scheduled task “DotNetNuke.Services.Cache.PurgeCache, DOTNETNUKE” by clicking on the edit icon next to the scheduled task. Select the checkbox labeled “Schedule Enabled” so it is checked. Click “Update”.

It doesn't mention anything about running this task solely on a single server.

I am having this problem too, Penny Rand, have you found a solution?

Rick

Yes, I found a solution; use SharePOINT!

Just kidding! I changed to BroadcastPollingCachingProvider and no longer have those errors. I have other errors now but oh well...

If I switch to BroadcastPollingCachingProvider, do I still need DotNetNuke.Services.Cache.PurgeCache, DOTNETNUKE enabled?
