I've noticed some strange behavior when Page State Persistence is set to Memory. After some time, users could not log out and I was not able to page through a gridview. The first click on next page changed the gridview to the 2nd page, but all subsequent clicks on next page just changed again to the 2nd page.

I use DotNetNuke 4.5.5 with AJAX.

Has anyone had this behavior as well?

yeah I've just discovered this as well, I can't do anything to my site at all now.

Do you know how to fix this? I can't even change it back.

Yes I noticed this myself the one time I tried this setting, however, I switched right back to page as there was no performance gain that I noticed on my site and there were major functionality issues.  Now I am sure that this functionality works, but my guess is that there is a limit to the functionality that is supported when it is used.

Did you ever get it to change back to page? It doesn't remember the setting from the Host Settings Page

I didn't manage to change it back in the control panel, so I had to restore to a previous db file. Once I'd done that it was fine.
