hi ericjr764,

every page has a skin, which is the design of the page(how it looks like), this skin is basically an html code, u may have many skins in ur project, and a skin maybe applied on more than one page (be aware of that b4 modifying the skin bcoz it could be applied on other pages), u can find all those skins as files in ur project under portals>defualt>skins, u can modify it the way u want

for ur question about changing the location of the search, if u opened the skin of the page u want to modify u will find the search box in the code as a dnn tag <dnn:search ......> where ever this tag is placed the search box will appear in ur page, so just put this tag where ever u want it to appear, BUT as it was said it's not that simple bcoz simply it may corrupt the whole look, so u must be sure that u understand how the elemnts r organized in ur skin first then move things around, that's why there is no standard way to do it

i don't know if that helped but feel free to ask
