Try the Repository module. It's very flexible and comes with predefined templates like Articles, Businesscards, Filelist, and even Audio or Video Library.

If you didn't fnd yet right module, you should try Indoo SQL Grid (http://components.init.si). Basic functionality of our module allows you list of record with detail view for each record (in your case you can display only news content field for example).

In UDT 3.4.0, there is a standard XSL provided for Master-Detail view, but you can also create a custom one using our advanced HTML to XSL converter / generator. Mark all fields not to be shown in list view as hidden.
