This is a pretty basic thing but how do you set the default country on the registration page? using the profile property manager I tried to set the default "text' but its a list so even if I put the country name in, it does not actually get set....

This is the way I did it:

  1. goto: admin/user accounts, then
  2. "manage profile properties"
  3. move the name "country to the first entry of "category: address"
  4. edit properties for "country"
  5. length "0"
  6. default value "country you specify" "IE: United States"
  7. save settings

I've believe the field "country" HAS to be at the top of the "category: address"

I can't seem to get the default country to be set to United States in version 04.07.00. I have tried all these steps and also updated the GeoIP.dat file as suggested from another post on this subject.  Is there a problem with DNN 4.7.0?

I can remember this seems as though it has been an issue with DNN since version 2. I would have thought an easier solution would have been designed to do this.
