That is a nice bit of troubleshooting.  However, the registration e-mails mentioned here are sent through the DNN core code, not a separately developed module.  Additionally, the problem e-mails are of a specific subset of domains. Therefore, although both issues revolve around the same topic of "e-mail", they are not the same problem.

I would once again need to defer this particular situation to the web host so that we can confirm where the stoppage is occuring.  If the e-mail doesn't get to the web host, then we know for sure that it is a DNN issue.  Otherwise, the web host will know what to do on their end.  A good web host will get back to you in a couple of hours (or less).

Hi,

My webhost (www.seekdotnet.com) are testing this.
Every time I see a testmail, so far no answer from them.
I will keep you updated with this issue.

With regards, Ton Hermes

Hi,

This problem is solved.
I upgraded to version 4.7
Switch the authentication method in HOST settings from NLTM to BASIC
After that all mail went fine.
Tested this with a "registration verified testperson" with an external e-mail.
All mail were send to the external email address.
Thanks for the support on this.

With regards, Ton Hermes

No problem.  Your resolution highlights something that was briefly touched on here, and that is verifying your SMTP information with your web host. The web host has a very specific way for you to authenticate with their SMTP server.  This method will vary with each web host.  I would suspect that if you switched your authentication to "Basic" before the DNN upgrade, your e-mails would have worked.
