OK, I did that and I guess the news is good because there was only one line.  However, that line was the same thing I put into the entry box.  After I click "Execute", EXEC [GetModuleByDefinition] 0, 'Search Results'  is returned.

That seems to suggest your portal has its search results module already deleted because you have nothing returned.  This means you can your own search results page and put a search results module in it. 

If you did that and rerun the query above and still go no results then I would summized that you were unable to run the query at all.  If you do get one returning record showing the module you've just installed, then your search is likely to be working now.

I am having the same problem and I am so frustrated. Do you get an answer? We are supposed to launch our intranet in a week and I still have no answers for this search problem. It just keeps going to the front page with no results. Can't someone help?????!!!!!!!

Scout,

  • make sure, there is exactly one Search Results module on any page (included those in the bin
  • clear the search index (see here) and re-index your content.
