I have some inconsistency on the user registration page. We are using DNN 4.7 the site is set to private and the Requires Question and Answer set to “True” in the web.config file.

On the registration page there are no Red Arrows next to the required question and answer text boxes. So if a person skips over the boxes and clicks register then the message will pop up saying that these fields are required. It’s a little confusing to some people.

How do I get the red arrows to appear next to these boxes? If you could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

 Thanks Todd

Have a look at one of my old posts:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/172390/scope/posts/Default.aspx

It took me well over a month to get a response. I noticed the error on the DNN corp site for quite awhile, and the moment I posted the error in that thread, it was fixed a day or two later after I pointed it out, though I never found out how to do it....couldn't afford the SLA.

Sorry, Todd, just read your questions again; I'll look real quick and post the exact steps.  I read 'next to the boxes' and had flashbacks, but if you don't have arrows, that's a whole different issue. :)

When logged in, try going to Admin -> User Accounts -> Manage Profile Properties (bottom of the table)...toggle what fields you want required/visible.

Once you get the required arrows to show, if they appear under the text field rather than at the end of the field, see my aforementioned post. :)

That is the problem, in the Manage Profile Properties there is not an option to check for those fields.

Can any one tell me how to get the arrows next to the box's described above?

Thanks Todd
