Hi all,

how i can use the AspNetSqlRoleProvider instead of the default DNNRoleProvider?

Thank you!

Only if you customize it to implement all of the methods that the DNNRoleProvider does.  However, I believe that the DNNRoleProvider is a wrapper for the AspNetRoleProvider.

Thanks for the answer,

instead i don't believe that the DNNRoleProvider is a wrapper for the AspNetRoleProvider, i added a web.config file on a subfolder of the portals/0 folder with this code:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<configuration>
    <system.web>
      <authorization>
        <allow roles="Administrators" />
        <deny users="*" />
      </authorization>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

To see if files are displayed only by Administartors users, but this do not work. The files in this folder are visible to all users.

I don't like the method that is used by the dnn file manager to protect the files(the use of linkclick.aspx is not so userfriendly)...

...and I would like to find a way to resolve it.

Are you trying to protect the files, but keep the valid (actual) URL path to it intact?
