Hi,

I have downloaded the source code of Article module from from efficionconsulting. The link is _http://www.efficionconsulting.com/DotNetNuke/Modules/Articles/tabid/352/Default.aspx. I want to change the code so that it can be the way as I want. However, I don't know how to put the source package into the DotNetNuke project to modify it. Please help me.

Thank in advance.

install the module as usual and use the solution file provided. Be aware, that AFAIK the module is still DNN3 and requires ASP.Net 1.1, VS2003 and DNN3 for development or you need to upgrade it to ASP.Net 2.0/DNN4.

Please tell step by step to install as you said. I have installed the PA version package in the site. Then I put the source code into the DNN project. However, I don't know what to do with the solution file provided. I tried to open it with VS.NET 2005 SP1. But it can't be converted to VS.NET 2005. I also modified some code in ListBase.vb and .ascx files. However, I didn't see any changes.

if you want to edit the module in VS 2005, you need to convert it, e.g. using the "Module Upgrade Wizard" available on the download page here on dotnetnuke.com, please read the enclosed instructions.

Man, I feel crazy to instal this module source code. When I used Module Upgrade Wizard to convert it, it generated a converted one. However, there are so many bugs inside when I rebuilt the solution. I wish I have an DNN4 module source code of this Article module. T_T
