I've done some searching on this, but haven't found anything yet. I might me searching for the wrong thing, I don' t know. Here's the problem: While users are logged into my portals (including host) some modules log the user out when they click "update." For example, I have a text/html module on a page, if I edit the text and click update, sometimes it will save normally and other times it will go to the log in page. I've checked the page time out and I know that isn't the issue. It doesn't seem to be particular to a module either, sometimes it happens to me when I'm editing the potal settings. This is most frustrating. I'm sure its something simple, but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Is there any chance that it could be a issue with the session time?  I know that there is a release of 4.03 but I couldn't see it on the DNN site, but this build apparently rectified a cache issue.  I'm not sure if that's it, but I agree it's very frustrating.

Can you also check that you have the aspnet_client folder sitting in the root directory. I know that this also causes some challenges.

What version of DNN are you running?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that in the original post. I'm currently running 3.2.2 I'm going to move to 4.0 but haven't finished some upgrade testing yet since I've got some custom modules. I hope the upgrade will fix the issue, but if it was something simple that I could fix, it would buy me some time.

There are a bunch of people this is happening too, I'm one of them. :).  Jon Henning looked at it on my site and verified that it was a real problem and tried to fix it with a new dll but without success.

Since then I've not heard back from him I'm just kind of getting used to making sure I copy everything to the clip board beofre I save.  I've made the changes for the cache issues but that didn't have any effect.  It does seem to have something to do with the IIS setup.  I've got two identicle sites on different hosts.  One has the problem the other doesn't.

It did start happening after the upgrade to 3.2.0  DNN 3.1.0 worked fine.

Always nice to know I'm not the only one. Even so, it would be nice to have it fixed. I haven't used 4.0 enough yet to see if the issue remains there, and I'm not exprienced enough as a programmer to dig into the code to find out what's going on. Hopefully someone out there can help!
