Hi

I have a problem with logging in. Whenever I try to login with IE7 nothing happens, I just get returned to the home page, no control panel, not even my user name being displayed. When I use any other browser (Firefox, Chrome etc.), everything works just fine. This is an internal intranet site hosted on a Windows 2003 Server I have tried the following to resolve but without any luck:

Change settings in IE to lowest levels, allowed cookies, added to local intranet site etc.
Upgraded to lates version 4.9
Checked permissions on user accounts and page and module permissions. The problem is the same with the host account as any other account

Doe anyone have any ideas please?

Hi Sebastian

I have tried this, and I have tried to access the site from a clean machine for the first time and get the same problem.

sorry, the only Idea I have now is analysing the traffic between web server and your browser, e.g. using fiddler.

Adam-
Have you recently added/activated any "Friendly URL Rewriter" modules (or swapped the HTTP provider for any other reason)?  I have encounted this (or a very similar) issue when changing HTTP providers -- that is, I cannot log in with any copy of IE7 but other browsers work ok.  It seems that something gets cached server-side that only affects IE.  In my experience, the issue resolves itself within a few days and login via IE begins to work as expected.
