I am using DNN 4.8 and I have a number of custom security roles in my portal.  None of them have a trial period or trial fee set, but when users go to the manage services area they see the 'Use Trial' button next to each role, and a 'Trial Fee' that says 'for -1'.  Can anyone tell me why that is and/or how I can get rid of that?  Any feedback is appreciated.

sounds like you're using public roles, please make sure the roles are set to private - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/About/DotNetNukeOnlineHelp/tabid/787/TID/1212/cid/79/Default.aspx

hello,

im having the same problem. changing it to private wouldnt fix the problem because then users could not subscribe to the role.

 only admins could assign users to that role.

Well it some ways it is nice to see that others are having the same issue (although not for them!).  Since my post I have moved to PowerDNN and upgraded my DNN version to 4.9.1.  Unfortunately this has not fixed the problem.  I can not believe that this is not a huge problem for most people.  I simply can not release my site until I figure this out.  I've seen suggestions to use Vetrians subscription tools but it only does one-time subscriptions without auto-renew and I don't want that.

Anyone else find anything?
