According to the webhost4life tech support MS Ajax is already installed. After some further testing it seems to only be the pages that have Arabic in the page name and title that causes it to fail. Could this be a SQL collation issue? I did try changing to Arabic but no difference. Plus on my development setup the SQL database is still in Latin. Anything else I can try?

you may very well be correct, a quick google (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=ms+ajax+arabic&meta=) has some anecdotal evidence of problems with arabic characters in the querystring. http://forums.asp.net/p/1066425/1544857.aspx#1544857 has some suggested workarounds you can try. I'd be very interested if any of these work, so please reply on the thread if you manage to resolved it.

The webhost4life tech support logged onto my site and succefully edited an Arabic web page with no problems I sent him the below:-

I have tried several different PCs (With XP and Vista).

MS Ajax installed and not installed.

Java V6 builds at different Update patch numbers.

But all of this is still not working. Although on my laptop version of the site everything works fine.

Please can you tell me what version of Windows OS you use? Also MS Ajax, Java and Silverlight Versions if applicable.

Are you running .NET Framework 2.x? or v3.x?

Is the server running which version of MS Ajax?

Hi, I use windows XP with .Net framework 2.0, using Firefox to open your site. The Ajax version at server is v1.0.61025.

I installed Mozilla FireFox v3.0.6 and through FireFox I can update the web pages! Now I am completely baffled at what the problem could be as I have tried various other machines and operating systems. Any ideas Cathal to have it working with IE7?

Try clearing your cache and cookies, then make sure cookies and javascript are enabled... All within IE7.

Also make sure you have the latest FCK editor, upgrading to 4.9.2 should fix that.
