Thank you all for your replies.

Is there somewhere in the core that I can add the code to refresh the cookie eveytime a page loads? This would be much better because I dont have the source for some of the modules I am using.

Hi Ryan,

Until you upgrade to version 5, your best bet would be a small modification to the membership httpModule, located in Library\HttpModules\Membership\MembershipModule.vb.  Only this assembly would need to be redeployed; the "main" DotNetNuke.dll would not need to be touched.

Note that there may be _significant_ performance implications of a per-request role refresh.
