I am having the same problem - with one site and not on others.

Hostig at 3essentials - Awesome, never looked back!!!

The site sends individual emails but not mass emails.  I have other sites configured exactly the same way with regards to the host settings (on the same server).

Can't figure this one out.  Anyone find a solution?

Thanks, Zoome

what is the 'bulk email' module? where did it come from? and does it have any settings regarding the email server? maybe when the module was first setup, they provided the same login/password/smtpserver in that modules settings? maybe that module reads the default smtp settings, and stores them some other place?

it really could be quite a lot of different possibilities when you're dealing with 3rd party modules. hopefully these questions will help you to resolve the issue, if not let us know the answers to the first 2 or 3 questions I asked and we'll continue to troubleshoot the issue...

Admin > Newsletter uses the dnn core send method, liek Feedback does. you need to have a valid emaiol address for the admin user, specified in site settings and the server needs to accept mass mails. You need to make sure, the application is not reset during send. Try using syncronous send method (newsletter :: advanced settings) to get errors displayed.

I tried the syncronous send method.  when I select my test Role Group (which has one user - with a valid email address) it returns "No Messages were sent, maybe due to empty roles".  There is one user in this role.  When I select this role and the administrators role, it does send but just to the admin role members

Here is the event log.
