Hi,

Here is another one...I can get my login box to appear and put no username and password in but when it returns it doesn't actually log me in.  Is my site login pointing to a specific area and how do I fix it from the DB unless there is an easier way.

My other installation was website.com/dnn/ the new url is website.com/

no dnn

Thanks,

Nolan

Hi Nolan,

Sounds like you need to edit the portal alias for your site. Since you can't log into your site you will need to do this in the database. The table your looking for is called PortalAlias (unless you have a objectQualifer that's prefixed) The field that needs changed is HTTPAlias. Simply remove the /dnn from the end. You will also need to either resave web.config, or restart IIS to dump the cache.

If you ever need to move a site in the future I would recommend adding a new portal alias beforehand. Once it's moved to the new site you can then log in and delete the old alias.
