Is the fckeditor different between 4.9.2 and 4.9.4?

And if so, should I just go for the new CKeditor 3?

I am currently developing a HtmlEditor Provider for CKEditor 3. You can try my BETA Version

Thanks for the offer, Watcher. I might look into this.

My latest endeavour was to install the same version of FCK that is installed with DNN5+.

It looks great in Opera now, which is a plus, but it still does not work on 4.9 with IE8.

BUT! Here is the odd thing....

IE8 works perfectly fine in DNN5.1.

So there is obviously a difference between 5.1 and 4.9.2. (Well, duh...of course there is a difference. But I mean in the way that Javascript is treated)

Any thoughts on this?

And do not say "just upgrade" since there are 3'rd party modules that do not run under 5 yet.

I developed the CKEditor Provider with the old DNN Version 4.9 and it works in IE8 and the default skin, i actually didnt test it under dnn 5.x

Currently iam finished the work of the first release on my provider
