I have a site with multiple users that I need to allow them to edit the text on thier page but would like to keep them from accessing other modules. Like adding a new module to the page.

  • Create a security role
  • all all users, you want to allow access
  • go to edit page
  • edit module settings, granting edit permissions to the created role.

Thanks for the quick reply,

What I want to do is stop the users from adding SOME modules to thier page but still allow some such as and image or text. However I will still need to be able to add the modules if desired as the admin so I cant just remove them from the portal

make the modules, that shall not be available to users, as premium and add them only to the portal, when you need to place them yourself and remove them from the portal again afterwards - this only removes them from the dropdown list of available modules, not from the pages, where it already is placed on.
