Hello.

We use version 5.1.4, and got a problem. If we add a user, and then delete this user, it is "soft deleted" wich means it is only tagged as deleted. We are using Dynamic Registration from DataSprings, and there we set the email to be the username. So far everey thing is ok. But if we try to add a new user with the same email address, we get an error, saying the email is already taken. This is also ok. But if we go in and delete this user, and the user tries to register again, he/she still get the same error. Because the user is not deleted, only marked as deleted.

How can we overcome this? It should be possible to change your mind? First I would like to be a menber, then I want to be deleted, than I would like to be a member again.

 Best regards
Vidar

The only way you can get around this would be to "un-delete" the user record.  The soft delete functionality is the only functionality supported by the core with 5.1.x

Thanks Mitch.

But, how can I delete the user permanently, and how do I un-delete? Do I have to use a SQL Statement to do that?

So what you are saying, If a user is registered on a portal, there is no way to him to register with the same username/email on another portal within the same host? Even if he deletes his account?

AFAIR there are still open issues with soft delete in DNN5, i.e. you need to delete the user manually from multiple tables. I expect the issues to be fixed in one of the next versions.
