Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but a quick search didn't produce an answer. My site is a single 4.9.1 installation, one domain with several aliases.

What is the best way to configure things so that when a user enters one of the site's aliases in a browser (i.e. as an anonymous user) they are directed to a specific page/tab on the site, and can then, if they choose, navigate to other pages? I would like though that users who enter the main site's domain or any of the other aliases to continue to go to the site's home page.

Many thanks and kind regards, JP

JP, I don't think this is possible with DNN right now. You could do this with your DNS and forwarding though. For example Godaddy's DNS hosting allows you to setup forwarding for specific domains, you could point a domain to forward to a specific page on your site.

Hi Chris, many thanks for that advice. I'm using arvixe.com for hosting and, with some assistance from their online support, have managed to work out how to do what I want with the DotNetPanel management tool they provide.

Hi Jeff

You could do this quite easily using OpenWebStudio.  I've do similar things depending on the URL, the domain (eg .com or .co.uk), the Child Portals and so on.

Do take a look at it, free and opensource and with the tokens available and IF actions it should be quite easy to do.

Thanks for that info David. It looks like the link in your post should be http://www.openwebstudio.com/. Is that right?
