Back again! New to this but trying to get to the bottom of the problem. Could the following be the problem? When I go to Languages- Language Management and click on the Time Zone Editor at the bottom of the page select English (Unitide Kingdom) from the Available Locales drop down list and click update the changes do not save.
Also from this page if I click Verify Language Resource Files I get the following errors.
Missing Resource files: 75
Files With Missing Entries: 54
Files With Obsolete Entries: 15
I have installed  English - United Kingdom (en-GB) 04.09.00 Full Language pack from the DotNetNuke website.

regards
Malcolm

Its in the USA  8 hours behind us(UTC -08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana.
In my last post I said which Language pack I have installed. Before installing it the date format was wrong for my location mmddyy since installing the date format is correct for me ddmmyy so part of the Language pack must be working?
regards
Malcolm

the language pack and settings are not relevant for this subject. you need to adjust portal default timezone to server time zone, in order for getting proper time zone calculations for registered users. This is not intended, but caused by an two misnamed DNN methods.

I have set the portal timezone on the Admin - Site Settings - Advance Settings - Other Settings to my hosts server time. But still when I add an announcement it still shows the web hosts server time so if I set the announcement to expire at a midday UK time it will not expire until 20: 00 hours because the module is still showing US time.
Maybe I'm being a bit thick and not understanding what I need to change to get this working.

regards
Malcolm
