Hi
On one of my DNN sites we are experiencing a problem when users get their password wrong.

The user gets to try 5 times as defined in the User Settings and is then locked out - however there is no message to say this - just the standard ' Login failed, remember passwords are case sensitive' - Is there a way to notify the user that they have been locked out ? If not where can I change the 'Login failed ....' message (I can't see it in the language settings)

In addition we don't appear to be receiving a notification email from the site anymore indicating a lock out.

The site was recently upgraded to 5.6.1
Thank you for any help
Vicky

are you using English language or a language pack, where the message might not have been updated?

I am seeing the same issue. In addition, the user's account doesn't appear as locked out in the account page, but the user can no longer log in using the correct password, and an error is thrown if the user tries to retrieve their password. An error also occurs if the site admin tries to reset their password with an auto-generated password.  However, having the admin manually reset the password works.

Sorry, I don't understand what that would do, and who would do it, and when. Would the user do it after every time they made a failed login attempt? Would the admin do it after going to the user's page??
