Hello Bilal

It works like this:

The options of Admin and Portal will determine what happens next when you click on "apply" below either a skin or a container. By default these are both enabled, but you can optionally disable them. When you leave the skins page and return, the options are "per default" checked again, even if you unchecked them before.

When you click "apply" to a skin, it will set that skin as the default skin for the entire portal if the "portal" option is checked, and if the "admin" option is checked, it will also be defined as the default skin for editing pages on the portal. Every page and module has the possibility to override the default skin / container with another skin / container, but the editing pages doesn't have this option (not that I know). This is done in the settings of each page or module.

If you simply want to see how your site looks with a skin, you can click on "preview". This opens up your front page using the skin or container you clicked as the default container. This preview doesn't set the default skin or container, and with next click on a link, you'll see the previous default skin / container in place.

I hope this clarifies a bit :)

Kind Regards
Rune

Thanks for the clarification :) The only point not making sense to me is that, even if I visit the "Skins" page from the Admin menu or go to "Site Settings", in both cases, I am trying to set a skin for "Admin == Edit" different from the skin for the portal or what the user sees. Is there such a concept in DNN? Do things work this way or something is missing? Thank you Regards
