Everything seems ok to me. I've checked the configuration in IIS and it is no different from what I've done for site.com and sub1.site.com. All of them point to the same IP address. I still can't get the browser to resolve for sub2.site.com. How about the DNN error, is it not relevant?

Well, the problem has been solved. There was a misunderstanding with the person in charge of registering domains and setting up the DNS. However, the "www" alias issue still remains, both sub1 and sub2 cannot be accesed if "www" is preceding them.

Have you added www.sub1.site.com and www.sub2.site.com as aliases in the relevant portals? These are in addition to aliases sub1.site.com and sub2.site.com.
