A lot of good people put a lot of efforts inside of DNN Framework. So you can find a lot of interesting things inside of DotNetNuke

If you like to use topics and posts, then you have to decide what Forum you will use: DotNetNuke Free or another? Each has own business logic and you can use this logic for work.

I've taken a real liking to YAF.net and I believe it's open source with C# as well.

I've asked on their boards on the best way to import my users, forums, topics, and posts as well.

I'm also going through the tables trying to find the relationships. I want to make sure if I add a post, it's properly stored, know what I mean?

Recently I imported user accounts from an ancient version of DNN into DNN5.6. Here is some information on database and stored procedures involved in this process.

I'm assuming with the link http://truedeveloper.blogspot.com/2011/05/create-user-programmatically-in.html I'll have to use the DNN Framework, which is great, but I'm not sure how to access. Create a project within the DNN Source?

And as for Byteblocks link, I've found two stored procedures that I think I'd have to use.
[dbo].[AddUser] <-- returns the UserId just created
[dbo].[aspnet_Membership_CreateUser] <-- I don't believe it returns anything

I've looked through the code and it confused the deuce out of me. I'm familiar with stand alone projects, not those of which are collaborative and I've just begun using stored procedures.

I think I'm missing something really obvious here, because the registration process takes I believe 7 parameters.

We will try to put small project for Users Import soon at the CodePlex. It will be OpenSource, so should be good example for you.

Give us a bit of time.
