This would explain the problem for me. Using the default skin, no problems. This happened to me 3 times and they all had a custom skin.

I stand corrected. Updated my skin files, had the same issue. Reverted back to the DarkKnight Skin and got same issue.

- As the host, admin > pages > select a page > appearance > small icon selection.
- Status Icon sits around for about 20 secs, then when I navigate away from the page to another page, 503 gets thrown.
- Restarting app pool and server did not help until I restored my db to a previous version. The db shuts down completely.

Guess I'll keep digging.

Hmm, I was hoping it was the skin.  Seems we've uncovered an issue with this.

I haven't seen any other reports by others with this issue (yet) so it seems it may be related to how our hosting environment may be setup. I haven't had the chance to dig into it further but intend to by the eow. Right now, it seems to be restricted to updating page icons (and not module icons) on my part. I haven't had any issues adding modules to pages though like John.

Further testing has revealed that my issue is confined soley to the home page.

I can add/update icons for all other pages, but when I attempt to do this for the homepage, my site crashes.

My issue has already been reported:
