Hi,

Not sure what forum group this best applies to, but I am getting the following exception.

The type initializer for 'Telerik.Web.UI.Common.DNNLicensing' threw an exception.

I can't seem to find any mention of this anywhere.  Anyone have some ideas on this?

thanks,

Chris

when do you get this message? what DNN version are you running? what did you change before getting this error for the 1st time.

I figured out this was actually caused by the error:

Could not load file or assembly 'DOTNETNUKE' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied

I have had this occur a few times for some unknown reason.
I can go and just "touch" the web.config and the problem goes away.

Any ideas what would be causing this?

is there a background service like VirusScanner or Backup, which may prevent the web server attaching the file?

Not sure, but when it happens it seems to be after an application start event. (not always).

The site comes up just fine.  Many pages load and everything seems to work but when I try to log in, even as a non-admin user, I get that error.
