Hi,

just installed DNN7 and besides some really annoying bugs with the ribbon/control bar, I'm also not able to move modules to a different panel. If I use edit mode or layout mode, I can move the module to the panel but it is not persisted - meaning, the next time I reload the page, the rearrangement is gone. Is there any fix/workaround. At this stage, my DNN installation is quite useless.

Btw, if I add a new module into the right container, it works and stays that way but I'm trying to rearrange the modules of the blog modules and as far as I know, those modules are all created in one step.

Thanks in advance!

cheers,
Stefan

I had the same problem. Not sure why it is happening but after playing with the css (I really do not know why) it works...
Did you try it with the default skin like gravity?

please test with default skin and container. if the error persists, please check the database, whether the values are stored.

Thanks for your responses. I've tried using the default skin/containers (gravity) but no dice. Unfortunately I do not have access to the server hosting DNN so I'm not sure how to verify if it is persisted in the DB. I may get access to the server in a couple of days and for now I would also be satisfied if someone can give me information on how to modify it in the database directly to achieve my goal.

Thanks,
Stefan

you may execute sql commands in Host > SQL, e.g. "SELECT * from TabModules WHERE TabId = .." followed by the ID of your page.
