I have managed to get this working as I would expect, but have had to add specific edit permissions to my account (via Page Permissions) even though I am already a Portal Administrator. Will try and see whether I can identify what has changed and when it was introduced.

It appears that although the column is being displayed the individual edit icons are being hidden.

Will try and dig out why and raise as a bug. At least we have a workaround.

Did you make sure your page was set to edit mode vs view mode? Coming from an older version some of our staff was not in edit mode for the user page and that hides the account edit information. It was just a change in how the module for the users could work which was nice but a little bit of a change for the admin users.

I found that if I removed the inherited permissions, then re-added them, the edit and role icons re-appeared.
