In DNN 7.05 I added a new profile property and after updating, I was able to create a custom Registration form type and add the new property to the Registration Fields section.  Now I tried to create a new profile property and add it to the Registration fields, and it does not show up.

Is it not possible to modify the custom registration page once it is created?  Or is this a bug?

Are you using the "Registration field" that comes after selecting the custom registration type in  admin>site settings>user account settings>Registration setting section?

You can edit your custom registration form any time.

Actually that's where the bug is. When editing the custom registration form, it doesn't properly locate the name of added custom fields in the user profile settings below. When using a textfield, no problem, but if the custom field created is a list, the name doesn't appear. I had to modify my database directly to add my list to my registration form.

Yes Rune. Thanks for letting us know. I also found the same issue here.

This might be a work around for you without fiddling directly the DNN database. This worked for me to get the Custom Registration Type fill the Registration Field where I want them to be (in terms of position/order). Note that I did this on a DNN CE 07.01.00.
1. Go to Admin > Site Settings > User Accounts Settings Tab.
2. Add New Profile Property BUT with Data Type TEXT.
3. Under Registration Settings > Registration Fields, position your cursor to where you want your New Profile Property to sit and type it ("intellisense" should show it as usual).
4. Ensure your New Profile Property is in the Registration Fields box where you wanted it positioned.
5. Edit this time your New profile Property's Data Type to whatever your target is and then click Update to finish. (So far, I tested only with Data Types: Boolean TrueFalse, Date, Integer, Multi-line Text, Checkbox)

Take note that if you decide once more to move the position of you New Profile Property, you would have to change the Data Type to TEXT again do the whole process. Also, once you changed it to a NON-TEXT Data TYpe, it won't show up again in the Registration Fields ("intellisense").

Possible Caveat (I haven't tested): if the New Profile Property is now populated with data already and you want to change the Data Type (in the future)??? There could be others...

Direct DNN DB Manipulation (Host > SQL): check this link - http://dnnuke.blogspot.ch/2013/06/bug-custom-profile-properties-cannot-be.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+DotnetnukeThem+(DotNetNuke+them!)
