After upgrading from DNN Community Edition 6.2.7 to 7.1.0 the file manager does not show folders or files. The tree on the left does show the root folder. But it will not expand to show any other folders and the files in the root appear to maybe be there because there are rows with check boxes, however there are no file names.

I'd like to see folders and files. What can I do to trouble shoot this issue?

This can be a issue with your custom Skin. DNN 7.1 Comes with new Default jQuery and jQueryUI Versions. Try one of the Standard Skins that come with DNN and check if the issue still exist. If not your Skin need a modification of the JavaScript and/or jQuery code. A time based solution could be to set a other jQuery and jQuery UI Version on the CDN jQuery Host Settings.

Matthias, Thank you for your help! I have tried the Minimal Entropy and DarkKnight skins and their containers, and two other skins too. They didn't help, but I note that all of them were made for DNN 6.x and below, nothing for DNN 7.x.

If you don't mind, how do I go about changing the jQuery and jQuery UI version?

A new clue for my issue is I am also trying to export a site template on this portal. And it will export successfully - unless I check to include files. This seems related. I wonder if there is something wrong in the files or folders tables. Maybe an entry missing. And this is causing the file manager to malfunction. The file manager on another portal on the same install works fine.

I have tried clearing out these tables in hopes of re-synchronizing, but the file manager synch button does nothing. Any ideas about how to re-sync without the file manager?

If you Login as Host User you can use Hosted jQuery Version (have to enable and set the URLs to the Version you needed on CDN) in the Host Settings look about jQuery Settings Tab.

I'm having this same issue. However, it's on a DNN 7 based skin. Here are corresponding screenshots with errors in Chrome and Firefox.
