I am working on a website that we recently upgraded to Evoq Content 7.1.  It has approximately 200 portals.  The logo file needs to change for all of the portals.  Is there a way to do this with a sql script and not have to upload the logo file in Admin Settings for every portal?

I would like to copy the new logo file to each portal root, then write a sql script that would  set the LogoFile field in the PortalLocalization table to the new name.  When I tried this, the website does not find the new logo.  It seems it has to be uploaded in Admin settings and then PortalLocalization.LogoFile refers to it as a FileID.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

you may place your file in /images folder of your DNN install and run the following statement in Host > SQL:
UPDATE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}PortalLocalization SET LogoFile = 'images\mynewfile.png

Thanks.  Good suggestion, but I couldn't get it to work.  The logo image link disappears altogether.  We will either upload them individually or put the logo in the skin.

any other option would require the image to be copied into the website folder and sync files. Next you may use SQL to save "file=..." and fileId.

Can you think of any way to synchronize the root file folder of ALL the portals without logging into EACH of them?

I've got the images all placed, and the PortalLocalization table updated, but until the File Folder has been synchronized, the logos do not display.

Any script or root portal (0) method?
