Hello, I am trying to synchronise the file system of DNN for a secure folder using the following:

  FolderManager.Instance.Synchronize(Me.PortalId)

The method works as it should (files are converted to xxx.resources but after 20-30 seconds, the system recreates the files!!! I have auto-sync disabled. Any ideas?

can you describe your scenario more please, there shouldn't be a need to synchronize a folder when uploading files via the digital asset manager. I'm guessing you're using ftp/windows explorer to copy the files in? If so are they in a single folder, as it might be a better idea to use one of the signatures for that e.g.FolderManager.Instance.Synchronize(Me.PortalId,"/yourfolder",false,true) [where the last 2 fields are the recursive and syncfiles settings

Sebastian, the weird thing is that after I upload one file in the secure fold it, I OCR it through the OCR program, and then run the synchronisation. The file xyz.resources is created, but to my surprise the OCR program detects the new file (xyz.recourses) and manages to OCR it!!! I believe this is no good for secure file system.  Shouldn't I get an error for making the file unable to read from the OCR engine?
